You have to be notified why you are being detained. Not read rights unless under arrest.

Question, would it make it unlawful since he asked them why they were arresting him, and he was never told? I I thought they could not arrest you or detain you without telling you why you’re being.

Cop TV makes it seem like it has to happen right at the arrest (it's more dramatic) but really it just has to happen during your interrogation when those rights really matter

Question about this: If you get brought in for questioning but before they read you your rights, you confess to a crime, is that considered inadmissible in court since you weren't told your rights?

I thought when your detained your being hold until they figure out if you be arrested. Once they decide to arrest you, they must read the Miranda rights.
