@choc.and.marshmallow: "Forest City?!" Mother said she heard the hotels at Forest City, Johor, Malaysia, were practically empty and she couldn't believe we were going to do a weekend getaway there. Well, we stayed in both hotels over two weekends and are happy to report that Forest City hotels are definitely not ghost towns. Forest City Golf Hotel was fully booked - carpark was almost full with mostly Singapore cars (vid taken at 7am). The hotel guests were mostly golfers, ready for breakfast at 6am and raring to go for their time on the green at 7am. For us who were not there to golf, we took our time with the lovely breakfast and enjoyed playing at the pool with slide. Forest City Marina Hotel had lots of people milling around at all times. From breakfast to cycling to beach exploration to playing at the small water park, there were always people, mostly families, around.
