That's exactly how our customer felt about his Samsung Fold 3. The device had severe dents on all four corners and the battery life was dwindling rapidly - playing a game for just an hour drained the NFL25 battery completely. Tired of its worn-out appearance and poor performance, he wanted to restore it to its former glory with a fresh W23 middle frame and brand new batteries. Disassembly and Protection We began by heating the device to safely remove the secondary screen without damaging it. Protecting the front and rear cameras was crucial to prevent any scratches or dust ingress. We meticulously removed all screws from the retaining plates and disconnected the flex cables. Both the main board and sub-board were carefully extracted after opening the back cover. Screen Removal and Middle Frame Replacement The screen was placed on a heating platform to loosen the adhesive. We applied a specialized solution to soak and remove the bracket effortlessly. Using a card, we gently separated the adhesive around the screen and removed it. With the old middle frame out of the way, we introduced the brand new W23 middle frame, ready to give the device a fresh look. Reassembly and Testing We installed the hinge and hinge flex cable onto the new frame, ensuring everything aligned perfectly. All retaining plates and screws were reinstalled securely. Before fully assembling, we tested the folding mechanism to ensure it operated flawlessly. Satisfied with the mechanics, we reinstalled the main screen, main board, sub-board, tail plug small board, and two new batteries. Final Touches All protective stickers on the cameras were removed to reveal the lenses in their full clarity. The back cover and touch screen were reattached, completing the transformation. Upon powering on, the device's display and touch functionality were as perfect as ever - still as beautiful and captivating as when it was new.
