I love Hagler. I have nothing but respect for him. He was a great champion I’m more of a Tommy Hearns fan, but I respect Sugar Ray & Sugar Ray Leonard that fight he hit him more and I think he won

I lost a bit of respect for Ray when he said he waited for Duran to be out of shape before fighting him again, and he knew hagler got old so he came out of retirement to challenge him.

Very close fight...Hagler dropped a lot of the early rounds...never quite had Ray in real serious trouble & Hagler had his opportunities that night...a Draw wouldn't have been a bad decision.

It was close, when I watched it live I thought Leonard won. Every time one watch it, it gets closer. Marvin certainly didn’t whoop him and Leonard stole some close rounds

The problem was one of the judges scored the fight 118-110 Leonard. I’ll always think of it as a draw because that judge decided before the fight who the winner was. 115-113 either way is fair
