You can have +cash flow even in a loss year. Machinery depreciation needs to be covered eventually but can get by a while without $ to cover.

Honest Question - Wouldn't it be better to pause growing instead of taking loses? Would the bank let you make interest only payments with the working capital? Or pause the payments all together?

You know your guaranteed revenue in April when you buy government subsidized insurance. Easy piezy, no swear. Make money on those farms paid for by previous generations also.

Yea, he will take that government payment he’s getting and go buy another Ford F-250 Diesel King Ranch that’s 100K and then another Side-By-Side, then another pair of Costas! Lol

Hmm. That equipment, operating on a loss, but increasing net worth. Sounds like a government subsidy payment, not to mention insurance. It's all a game. Not a fool here.

What percentage of the $1000 per acre is equipment cost ? Couldn’t you lower overhead and run decent used equipment and maybe it cost $500 per acre? Now don’t have those huge payments In the bad times
