Water is actually blue (it absorbs red/green light and reflects blue light), but it's such a light blue that it can't be seen in small amounts. In large amounts, this color adds up.

That is…neither of them are correct. The reason water cups are clear is because of opacity, water has a very slight blue tint. That’s why cups are clear but the ocean is blue. Lakes are green because of the impurities and gunk in the water. The reason the ocean is grey when the sky is cloudy is because it isn’t. It does reflect the grey sky but you notice a light grey sky but a dark grey ocean.

Itadori is right. "water actually has an intrinsic blue color caused by the slight absorption of light at red wavelengths" just in small amount this is not easily seen
