My daughter has been experiencing this for almost 7 years now. We have taken her to a pediatric pulmonologist, ENT Dr and gastroenterologist. They have done scopes, allergy and asthma tests, they did a PH probe down her nose. It came back that she had mild GERD. She went on meds for acid reflux for a year and it didn’t help at all. Now they’re telling me she has a habit cough from having GERD so long. She gets it from Sept-April. Once the weather warms up it stops. We have no answers. I have tried everything and I’m at a loss.

Oh my goodness!!! my son is doing something similar to this 😢 for him it's like coughs in his throat but not really coughs. I don't know how to explain it ,but it in his throat. please help, it been 2 weeks now🥺

I just took my daughter in today to be seen for the same exact thing. She sounds just like my six-year-old and has been doing this for a few months now, but the last four days have been constant and won’t go away. She also refuses to eat cookies or hard food because she says it feels like there’s a button in her throat. Anybody else have the same experience?

My son just started doing this. Said the exact same, that he has a big bubble in his throat. But it’s constant!

My son has alphabet soup and does this. My niece has nothing and does this. We call it their tics.

My daughter did this!! She has adhd and we thought maybe the medication she was taking was starting to give her “tics” she has stopped now but she did it for MONTHS our dr also thought acid reflux

My son is doing this for like… 4 months now and his pcm says it could just be a vocal tic that he’s picked up on and that kids go through phases of doing weird things repetitively. Has anyone gotten an actual cause for it?
