@shellydoesdiy: Easy DIY Marigolds 🌸 Here’s another quick and easy craft for anyone who loves DIY decor. Did you know you could make marigolds from coffee filters? I didn’t! After my 9-year-old explained the significance of marigolds to Dia De Los Muertos, the Algorithm was so kind to share the gorgeous coffee filter flowers @Sibia made. I of course had to try it immediately. They are stunning, so simple to make and cost almost nothing. STEPS 1. Fold a stack of coffee filters in half 3 times. 2. Cut scalloped edges. 3. Add food coloring to small cups of water. 4. Dip the coffee filters in the water and squeeze excess. 5. Separate the filters and let them dry overnight. 6. Staple 8-10 filters together. 7. Scrunch it in a ball then flatten again 8. Pull up filters one at a time, squeezing from the bottom as you do until you’ve pulled up all the filters and formed your flower. Punch a paperclip through the bottom and you can add them to a flower form or pool noodles for a gorgeous centerpiece, mantel or arch. 📌 Share this with your crafty BFF and SAVE for later!
I did this once and someone said they looked like loofah...I can't unsee it to this day
