This is not in the hands of CPS or CEO Martinez. CPS issues charters to operate a school, Acero Is the operator. While CPS can make recommendations, Acero’s board is not beholden to CPS.

this is the no child left behind, which made education into standardized testing which led schools with lower test scores to close and some reopened as privatized charter schools.

They closed two elementary schools in my area in our area too without any input from parents until after the decision was done !! Parents had no clue and were then outraged! News given before Xmas

I worked at acero central office. Rich is a scam and gave himself a big raise this past December. Second raise since Dec 2022z I saw his files. Fuck acero.

I met many Acero Alumni when I went to High School, and they were so greatly educated. They talked greatly about the school, so I hope they dont close. 🥺
