(& anything that requires slavery in order to exist should be abolished, full stop) - America will never let go of capitalism willingly, and goes to war over preserving capitalist interests. - civil/ revolutionary war is violent. - colonialism/capitalism is violent. - climate disasters are violent and will become more so. - We are running out of time to mitigate the worst of climate change, years not decades. ***I didn't have to learn that slavery is evil, I'm stating that it is. ---- if you're talking to me about politics, this is the framework I'm using - that what we're doing isn't sustainable, is already violent, and we're hurtling toward more violence thanks to climate change. there'll be no way around it no matter who is president next because they'll still be upholding & inflicting further violence - capitalism. in addition to bigotry, religious extremism, & ⚪ supremacy, capitalism is what's driving multiple genocides right now: for land, oil, natural gas, cobalt, etc. climate change is here, it's happening, it'll keep getting worse. fascism is here, it's happening, it'll keep getting worse. BUT THEY DON'T HAVE TO.
