I’ve had the feeling for a long time that these people have been charging for bogus positive reviews and never disclosing that they’re being paid. Far too many mid restaurants are blowing up.

Yep this is way too common. Almost every single food “review” you’ve ever seen is a payed review. Is honestly crazy.
