@kaylemcdonald: My sweet boy is in recovery. He’s doing well and waking up and going back to sleep. He has to lay like this for four hours. I’m not able to touch him yet but couldn’t help it when he’s waking up saying mama. The sweetest boy. His right and left femoral arteries are completely occluded which means he has multiple “poke spots”. They went around and got through and got the information they needed and the cardiologist said it was helpful but very frustrating to find out that his access is pretty limited but there are other spots they can use in the future and he will eventually have more arteries and veins in his legs that will be okay one day. Next step is to review all of this information to find the best surgical plan with all the cardiologist. We should be discharged home today after 5pm. We have to work to get off this oxygen first and make sure his sites won’t bleed once we leave. He’s a strong little boy 🤍🫀#heartbaby #chd #heartwarrior #momof8 #chdawarness #heartcath
