We never washed our rice until I saw people saying you are supposed to. We did and will never eat unwashed rice again. It actually cooked better and tasted better

I pick the discolored grains, but I actually rinse mine when it’s 3/4 done. I cook parboiled rice and when I rinse it it’s just removing some of the starch. I rinse 2-3 times then steam until done.
