I actually hated on the inanimate mons but “if it exists long enough, it gets a soul” really sold it to me. I’m now excited for new ones.

1st Gen had Seal, literally just a seal, and Spearow/Pidgey were just birds with diff spelling. Don’t need to know know much about the new gen designs to agree with this take lol

To the people talking about flamigo, it actually has a design, it’s barely noticeable but it’s body is a boxing glove, that’s why it has the fighting type

Chandelure is top tier. Nobody can change my mind on this one. I don’t care if it isn’t good competitively, there’s more to Pokemon then online competition

correct take, especially since it's so subjective anyway - every pokémon is ✨someone's✨ favourite

its the same for degins inspired from real world creatures, everyone hating on Flamigo, for it "just being a flamingo", meanwhile we have Rattata and Toucannon

Take is good, Pokemon like Chingling and Chimecho, they're based off a Suzu Bell and Furin Wind Chime respectively, with Suzu Bell being used in Shinto Shrines and Furin used to ward off evil spirits

good take. a lot of the new designs are perfectly fine if not great. as if the design for grimer or voltorb was particularly amazing

He’s 100% correct. Everyone shits on the new Pokémon designs and call them lazy but forget gen 1 was FULL of “just an animal” and “just a ball” and “just 3 of them” and a literal rock with arms
