I have to basically "write" a nice story in my head to focus on, and imagine myself playing out the story. My eldest has ADHD too and I've taught him how to do it and it seems to help him too.

Top tip!! This works so well for me. Get in your comfiest going to sleep position. Your mind can be racing and think of all the things, but….lay completely still! Focus on it. Don’t itch the itch…..
