To underscore the predatory nature of the character, director Mike Nichols dressed her in various animal prints with tiger stripes and leopard skin prints to represent an ever alluring lions den of seduction for a curious yet cynical Benjamin Braddock (Dustin Hoffman). Anne Bancroft, who died in 2005, was identified for the remainder of her career as the unforgettable Mrs. Robinson and is quoted saying, "I've made other films, you know!"
