The case for schools is predicated on the curriculum being worth caring about. Usually without evidence that it helps in later life. Tons of learning (socially especially) happens - off curriculum.

I disagree with you on the role of education. I understand the criticism but I don't think we'd be better off without it. education allows propagating knowledge in ways the regular person would never consider learning by themselves.

I learn a lot of stuff on TikTok and other platforms' reels! Someone said to me that I was on the 'boring' TikTok. And that's the thing, boring to them, but not to me!
