For me the obvious thing to consider here is the move to plain English. In most work contexts, “waiting for x” is preferable because it’s more accessible language.

I think I disagree. Results are vague. They aren’t a written report or specific feedback. Unless the results are medical results, I think awaiting is a bit over kill
