It’s not hard to thank the person for the date (they spent time and money) but say I don’t feel a romantic connection. I think you are lovely and wish you well or something like that. To me nothing is rude.

I had a first date with a guy. Started off awkward but he was constantly putting his hand on my back, arm, etc. and even kissed me a few times only to tell me he doesn’t see this as long term. Whaat!

People forget that you’re meeting a stranger for the first time. Sometimes the chemistry is there but if it’s not, I’d rather quietly go our separate ways than awkwardly explain via text.

I always let people know after a first date if I didn't think there was the chemistry I was looking for. it's easy and doesn't leave anyone wondering, even if it's only for a day or 2. idk, just think it's about being respectful of other people 🤷♀️
