What was even more iconic was that I got to record it in her actual house and she has the most epic and fantastic decor. I was so excited when Sophie asked me to be on her podcast, firstly because Spinning Plates was a podcast that I loved when it launched in lockdown and I always love the guests Sophie has on. And second because … it’s Sophie Ellis Bexter!! I was obsessed with her from the moment she exploded onto the music scene when I was a teenager! I remember watching her music videos on mtv! It was one of those surreal moments where I thought teenage me would never believe it - a little bit like when I was in the Celebrity Big Brother house and Shane from Boyzone would make me breakfast! 🤯❤️😂 From the moment I walked through the door Sophie made me feel totally at home, which I think will be reflected in our chat! We chatted about everything from insecurities and how that being in the public eye exasperated them. My experience on MIC - something I never really touch in! And then becoming a mum and feeling maternal - as well as the physical impacts of childbirth like being diagnosed with vaginisimus. Basically it was like meeting up with an old friend for a big heart to heart!
