It will take time to get your refund back. Keep all of your receipts and any communication with the airlines about the change of flight. You can also get refunded from your credit card.

The refund process is actually easier than you think. It does take like 6 weeks to get the money, but they’re reasonable

You dont need to get it on tape the law says they have to conpensate you its up to €1500 i think

If you arrive 24+ hours later to your destination you can ask for 600 euros compensation (EC261 I think) if you arrive 3+ hours later there are diff compensation amounts

when this happened to me with easyjet, they refunded the flight, hotel, transport and also any food/drink consumed between the cancelled flight and the new one
