I wish there were ways to "easily" simulate acoustics the way we can simulate airflow for exhausts. it would be neat to see how changing materials and header/exhaust length change exhaust notes

Unfortunately, the only person who makes them for the d16 & d17 can take weeks or months to get them shipped. He does amazing work though.

Had gti and a fa20 wrx (comes with equal lenght headers) while both are 4cylinders and 2 liter they dont sound the same it is not all in the headers

You should've included something about 4in1 or tri Y, and DEFINITELY should've talked abt scavenging. Those are all more important than just sounding good

Subaru engines have more displacement and tend to have a throatier sound as a result. not gonna sound near as much like a fart can as a 1.6 liter like the civic has with a similar exhaust

Correction: the subie rumble comes from UEL headers, putting NORMAL headers on makes it sound like any other 4 cylinder

If I recall Porsche made fun of Subaru for the unequal header thing, Subaru started using equal length and Porsche swapped over to unequal haha
