@tipcap.us: Tipping culture is under fire, and this thought-provoking perspective shakes the foundation of how we view gratuity in America. With the alarming revelation that some restaurants only pay their waitstaff a mere $2 an hour, it's time to reconsider what it really means to support service workers. The frustration is palpable as one speaker reflects on encountering a hefty bill while feeling the weight of unfair compensation practices. Tipping shouldn't be a crutch for employers, yet many customers are left feeling pressured to cover the wage gap. Could this be the moment we demand change and hold businesses accountable for fair pay? Dive into this insightful discussion that challenges the status quo of tipping! #TippingCulture #FairWages #ServiceIndustry #RestaurantIndustry #Accountability #ChangeTheNorm #TipTheory #SupportWorkers #ConsumerRights #WageGap #HospitalityInsights #EconomicJustice #Politics #CandaceOwens #Culture #PopCulture #React #TippingCulture #Tipping #News #WeddingDressShopping #Tips #Waitress #Tip #Waitressing #Reaction #DailyWire

Let’s stop getting mad at customers because they can’t afford to give you a tip.  Customers are already paying delivery fees, service fees, taxes, and sometimes other extra charges. By the time that order arrives, some people simply cannot afford another expense.  If you feel that delivery workers aren’t being paid fairly, don’t take that frustration out on the customer. Take it to MANAGEMENT. Talk to your SUPERVISORS, ORGANIZE MEETINGS, and ask the COMPANY why all those fees are being charged while delivery workers still feel underpaid.  The CUSTOMER is NOT your ENEMY. We’re all trying to make ends meet.  So don’t get angry with us because we can’t afford to tip. Take the conversation to the PEOPLE who CONTROL THE MONEY —and DEMAND a better system.

Here a tipping rule that everyone should adopt: Tip $5 per diner. Dining alone = $5 4 people in your party = $5 X 4 people = $20. Add a little more for exceptional service based on your own discretion. Bring me a ribeye with mashed potatoes and a glass of wine doesn’t take more effort than bringing me a cheeseburger with fries and a pint of ale.

Tipping should be illegal, companies NEED to pay their employees a fair livable wage and STOP forcing costumers to pay their employees salaries. BUT in our current society if you don’t tip you are a BAD costumer

The  $10 item isn't really costing the customer $10 by the time the order is completed. For example, a $`10 order could look something like: Food/item: $10 Delivery fee: $4 Service fee: $3 Taxes: $1–$2 Other fees: $2–$3 Now that $10 order can easily become `$20–$25. So when a customer doesn't leave an additional $1 to $3 tip, it's not necessarily because they don't appreciate the delivery driver. They may simply have already spent twice what they expected to spend..That's the part delivery companies and drivers need to understand. Customers don't control those fees. If the fees are taking the cost from $10 to $25, the conversation about fair compensation needs to happen between the delivery workers and the company, not by punishing or insulting the customer.

the funny thing is about all of that... is that yes, the law does say employers can do that at restaurants and only pay their employees $2 an hour forcing them to live off of tips....BUT .... there is no such law that says the customer has to pay exorbitant tips or literally any tip at all......

The business is causing so many arguments between their employee and their customers. The people who keep the business running are at odds because of the business. 🤦‍♀️
