@jeanne_retired: Replying to @LP I struggled to find hobbies in the beginning too! And I knew i wanted to retire! Here are two tips: 1 - if someone asks you to try something new, try it even of you don’t think you’ll like it! 2 - pursue things that bring you joy even if you don’t think it’s getting you anywhere! It’s not about the destination it’s about the joy! #retirement #retired #retireearly #retirees #over50 #genx #boomer #retirementplanning #over50women #hobbies #retirementstruggles
I love your content. I'm 46 and I can retire but I'm very much afraid of finding my identity after work.

I’m one month retired with zero hobbies. Demanding job and parenting. Mainly cycling and lifting weights/training but these don’t seem like hobbies. Hard nut for me to crack so far.

I totally prioritized my kids, jobs and aging mom over developing any hobbies of my own for 25 years. Still figuring it out because I feel like I’m not good at anything.
