Not matte!!! I know that’s what they recommend for bumpy walls but they won’t wipe clean at all. Get one with at least a little gloss in it like eggshell. I use satin bc kids….lol. Love your work!!!!

My painter said to use an oil based paint to cover water stains. I think they make killz in oil based. Beautiful job!

Don’t use a mat finish, it won’t clean without taking off the paint. I would use eggshell or satin.

I figured out by error that mat paint soaks up the light. Satin or semigloss is better at reflecting the light.

As a professional house cleaner - don’t use Matte paint. Go with semi gloss water based paint. So much easier to clean. Matte paint absorbs EVERYTHING and is imp to clean off spots.

Do you like the uneven look the plaster is giving on the walls/ceiling? I was gonna suggest sanding the walls down a bit to make it look a bit more even and may help with the discoloration? 🤷🏼

You could always consider a wood accent on the ceiling to help hide the imperfections/staining. A shiplap or tongue and grove.. Would also bring in more character and charm ❤️

I would put textured, paintable, wallpaper on the ceiling. Look up anaglypta wallpaper

Matte is bad! My apartments have them and I cannot for the LIFE of me get them clean! My husband is a mechanic too so we have had a couple accidents that just won't go away. Anything that touches -

Use rustoleum gloss white! Spray it on the bleed thru, let it dry and then prime. MAGIC!

use some silver spray paint on the stains and then cover them with white paint.
