I grew up with labs - 16 is a phenomenally long life for the breed. my first lab lived to be that age. I can tell she was well cared for and loved and it was a blessing she lived so long.

16 is quite an achievement. My dog is 12, loving on her everyday, knowing she won't be around forever. But what is grief if not love persisting. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

My senior dog just passed away. She was 13. I hated hearing oh wow she lived a long life. It doesn’t help the pain. It’s never long enough 🥺
