The moving parts need to be enclosed so this doesn’t happen to pets. I’m never buying an automatic couch again wow. I hope kitty is ok

I would definitely contact the company who makes the recliner so they can try and fix this issue or do a recall. I'm sure you aren't the only family this has happened too sadly. moving parts should+

this happened to my cat when he was maybe 2 years old the emergency vet said they would have to amputate his tail and we said no so we took him to his regular vet and they cleaned the wound and 1/2

THIS HAPPENED TO MY CAT TOO!!!!! She had to have her tail amputated on Sept 18 last year!!!! Literally exact same couch. Degloved her tail.

Omg the sound made it worse. Can’t tell if it was the couch making that noise or the crunching noise of the couch braking the tail or something 🥺

one of my neighbors dogs got smooches under a recliner and died under there and they couldn't find it for a while. I always make sure my pets are not under any furniture before doing anything 😞

no recliners are safe if you have cats OR dogs. a few years ago, my parents were fostering a kitten. one day, power went out due to a bad storm, no one knew she was underneath it. sisters boyfriend
