be careful not all key pads will lock automatically. My friend bought one because he liked mine but the one he got didn’t auto lock. I’m a fan of the door knob/handles with a key pad or finger print.

smart locks for renters in Texas specifically are a struggle, we have a second inside lock right above the first that is not accessible from the outside. Can't fit most smart locks in that space :(
