No that is not true. You are feeding at a higher ratio so it takes longer to peak. I feed at 1:10:10 and it takes 12 hours for mine to peak and it stays peaked longer.

As long as while she’s active she floats your good! Mine has always taken more to rise and I have been baking for over a year

My house is cooler but I notice if I keep mine in my kicrowave after feeding it helps so much or in the oven with the oven light on

if your house is cold it will take longer, I use a seed grow mat when it's cold in my house, also I will sometimes skip a day so she gets hungry

In order to do the test you have to have exact 1:1:1 ratio. Starter that is fed that way will grow in 3 to 4 hours however, if the ratio is say, 1:5:5, it could take 10 hours.
