@tomdraperacting: 🎬✨ In my Tuesday Night Scene Study & Script Analysis Class, we had an interesting discussion sparked by one of my current students, Caitlyn, and her friend’s comment about doing self-tapes five times faster than they’ll actually be filmed. At first, I had a knee-jerk reaction, but it made me think. When I’m reading with actors, I tend to go pretty fast, focusing on giving the best read to the actor without overshadowing their performance. Sometimes, we rush through scenes without letting them breathe. Actors can feel pressured to move quickly, but it's crucial to take the space and let moments happen, especially in indie projects. The pace depends on the genre, and every scene has its rhythm. 🎭 #ActingTips #SceneStudy #ScriptAnalysis #SelfTape #ActorLife #TakeYourTime #TuesdayNightClass #OnSet #ActingCoach #FilmActing #TVActing #IndieFilm #FilmIndustry #CastingDirectors #AuditionAdvice #PerformanceTechniques #CreativeProcess #ActorTraining #SetLife #CharacterDevelopment #fyp #for #ActingChallenge #actingclass
