It just makes zero sense to me to have AI do the thinking for us at any level. We need to use our brains. When I was a kid I knew the phone numbers of all friends and family - my phone does that now..

I think the most important thing is learning to interact with AI as a partner rather than someone that can simply do your work for you. This opens possibilities, it opened possibilities to me.

Good points, but they mirror criticisms recorded at the dawn of literacy - that the availability of books erodes memory and reasoning. As ever, the challenge is to augment human reason w new media, not replace it.

I hear you, but paradigms have yet to shift to account for this, and as they do many fears will be assuaged. Several won't, but we'll have smarter people (because of AI) and more advanced AI to combat

fun fact on this topic:we're supposedly only 4 years away from achieving AGI (Artificial general intelligence) which will be able to our jobs as researchers and will possibly have a huge knowledge 💥.
