Christmas is one week away! The good news is there’s still time to see many of these best decorations around town. I’ve covered Beacon Hill and hotel lobbies in previous reels. Here’s a final reel on where to find the best decorations and houses in Boston.Let me know what spots I missed in the comments. There’s lots!! Charlestown. Spending a day and night here during the holidays is a must. A great mix of classy and kitschy decorations, wreath & garland-wrapped lampposts and doorways and the biggest collection of inflatables. A few notable spots are walking around Monument Square down the Freedom Trail to the Winthrop Square/Training Field to see the inflatables and then to City Square Park to see at least 15 trees with the Zakim. And of course, Pleasant St. Union Park, South End. The South End is great to walk around but the cant miss spot is Union Park. The Nutcracker house along with a few others make this a must stop destination. Comm Ave. The Quinn House at 217 Comm Ave is a great photo op followed by its next door neighbors with a herd of a deer and a few houses down, creepy Santa. The Comm Ave Sisters, specifically at 128 is a must. Dorchester. At Victory and Adams is one of the most over the top and generous homes. Decorated to the hilts and you can stroll through the decorations and take a picture with a Santa. Grain Exchange. At 177 Milk Street you’ll find the beloved giant red ribbon that is a must see. The nearby Greenway is also filled with little hatchlings. North End. All Saints Way, Hanover St. and St Leonard’s Peace Garden are not to be missed. This time of year, the North End is sensory overload!! Somerville. This neighborhood is the closest the Boston area comes to the famed Dyker Heights in NYC. Insanely over the top decorations scattered throughout with the biggest at the intersection of Ames and Robinson St. Otis St near across St. and Highland road near Morrison Ave are a few others. But there’s a lot of good ones!! #thingstodoinboston #bostondotcom #bostonphotography #newenglandchristmas, Christmas in Boston, what is christmas like in Boston #bostonchristmas #christmasinboston #boston
