I’ve touched this subject already countless times but it’s time for me to set the record straight. It’s really tiring to see certain behaviours regarding Sunoo both in his company and this fandom. To start with belift, although I do not believe it is necessarily intentional, they have done a lot of things in the past that really mistreated Sunoo. From giving him few lines to never letting him have any solo projects or partnerships like the other. I think it’s really sad that he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves. (I just want to add that this is the company’s fault, it is not a reason to hate on the other members because they got opportunities.) As for the fans, there are so many wrong things about this fandom. First of all, when are y’all going to stop speculating about Sunoo’s sexuality? Whether he’s straight, gay or anything else, it is none of our business and it is not our place to assume any of it. It’s time to start respecting boundaries and saying everywhere that he’s gay because he’s feminine is not okay and saying he’s straight either isn’t. Just stop assuming! Moreover, stop using him as a shipping tool and pairing him with every breathing human beings. Manips, y/n videos, fanfics, etc, we’re tired of it all. It’s time to start respecting him and his relationships with others and seeing them as what they are. You can ship his friendships, but not romantically. Stop inventing stuff and support him for him. Secondly, Sunoo is a sweetheart, he’s cute, he smiles all the time, but he’s not only that. Stop finding it weird when he’s not all bubbly, everyone gets tired sometimes and it’s not all there is to his personality. Also, stop saying he doesn’t fit Enhypen’s concept and group because Enhypen is nothing without Sunoo just like Sunoo is nothing without Enhypen. Enhypen is a group and if you’re not OT7, you don’t Stan Enhypen. Might I add, Sunoo has an incredible duality and can fit all concepts, just like all of them. Thirdly, I think it’s time y’all put yourself in the place of Sunoo when it comes to all of the bullying accusations. Don’t you think he can speak for himself? Isn’t he a grown adult? Don’t you think y’all accusing his friends/coworkers of bullying him didn’t make the situation worse? I can’t speak for him, but although it is important to hold people accountable, you didn’t do it the right way and you didn’t make anything better. Finally, Sunoo is perfect the way he is and always has been. Stop the fat shaming, stop glorifying diets and stop the sexualisation. Every time I see Ni-ki now grown up l remember his fourteen year old self who was still struggling to speak Korean and was so excited to finally debut. It's not that Ni-ki should've stayed young forever, but l've always wished that some parts of the old him are still there. He may have lost his excitement and naivety but I hope he still has pride, happiness and that he knows engenes will love him regardless of who he chooses to be.
