My granddad was originally from Saharanpur and had to migrate to Pakistan during the Partition in 1947. I’ve recently realised there are two places called Saharanpur in India, but I believe my granddad was from the one in Punjab, around the Pathankot tehsil/Gurdaspur area. I would absolutely love to visit one day and see where he grew up the place he had to leave behind, along with everything he knew, to start a new life in Pakistan.
