The opening lines, “Shiv Kailasho ke waasi, Dhaulidharo ke raja, Shankar sankat harna!”, is a prayer to remove all obstacles and bad energy from your life by the blessing of Shiva. This bhajan holds a special place in my heart, taught to me by my mother @manjulsharma7 who is from Chamba. Some of my fondest memories are of summers spent at our ancestral home near Chugaan, where this song became a way for me to connect with Lord Shiva and my Himachali roots. Singing it now brings me the same sense of peace and gratitude I felt then. Reaching over half a million on Instagram feels surreal, and I’m deeply thankful for this community.
