paint hack: Sherwin williams has free 8x11 paint samples you order and they send you. that way you can move then and not have to paint over them later!you can get ad many as you want!!

paint sampling hack , put the sample on every wall in the room . the lighting during different times of the day makes the color look different . what may look good on one wall may be darker or lighter

Also look in the “oops” section! Sometimes they have gallons of white paint that you can get for discount and then tint your color for free!

As someone who tried to paint their own house… I got a bedroom and bathroom done and gave up. Definitely cheaper and easier to pay someone. (where I live)

pro tip: make a pinterest board for each room you're doing and then go through and see what each one has in common. that's what you end up doing.

Make sure you put them in there natural light along with the ceiling light. Paint is different in all different lighting. I taped up the sample cards and looked at them for a long time in the daylight

We didn't get samples when we painted our house, we just picked colors and went for it. 😬 It mostly turned out okay! The green in our bedroom is darker than anticipated, but I don't hate it.

We have that first fan & love it!! We have a vaulted ceiling that had a beam that was just drywall & I had it wrapped in wood to look better & we LOVE it!! I also got an extension drop down rod.
