Warranty company gave us a used high mileage engine. Installed at a reduced labor rate. Vehicle left it failed a few months down the road for a leaking injector that was on the used engine. Warranty company to the customer: “sue the shop for not replacing the injectors” lol

Not just warranty companies, many dealer technicians are running into the same issues with the factory warranties right now they don’t want to pay, especially the time the technician has into the job

This could not be more true, I had a TCM with an internal fault and the warranty company would not cover it due to the TCM, not being mechanical, even though it’s part of the valve body?

Mostly all of the warranty comp are exactly how you describe but there are some good ones. One time I quoted book time 6.3 hours for a repair and they came back with an approval for 7hrs plus my diag

I bought an extended warranty and had them replace within a year, window regulator, CV axle, 3 passenger occupancy sensor reprograms, engine, 4 spark plugs because "it's causing the misfire" (hint the rod bearing failed on the cylinder that kept eating spark plugs)

I don’t waste my money for the “extended” warranty. If it isn’t from the factory. It really isn’t worth it. As long as you keep up on maintenance you should be good.
