I can type like Bruce Almighty one minute, typing a full chapter in 2hours ish. Then I can spend 45 minutes on one sentence... 😩 there's no middle ground. 😂

man, 1000 words in 30-60 minutes is fast! I'm quite a slow writer in comparison, I usually do 300 in that time. i JUST finished my 101k first draft and it took a year and a half

First WIP took me 2 months for 67k words, second WIP I finished for the #zapwhampow writing challenge so I finished at 56k words in October. It deff depends but I think I am doing 1.2K words an hour

That sounds like really fast to me. 😅 I usually get about 400-600 in an hour. I can bang out 1,000 or so words in two or three hours but then I get tapped out so I stop after that. I’ve only had one instance where I did write 3,000 in a few hours.

Sometimes I open my WIP and stare at it for 20 min and write zero words and then close it soooo 🤷🏼♀️I’d say you’re doing pretty good!! I also have adhd and will def get distracted while writing

Depends. I wrote a ya book in 6 weeks (after being main character on social media drafting story for months) & another took 6 months… & another a year. Each book has its own process/timeline 🫶🏻

It really varies. Sometimes I manage up to 4K words a day, but other days I can barely do 200 words 🥲 but the important thing is to write at your own pace and enjoy the process!

On and average day, I write abt 1200 words in 2 hours. If it’s a scene where it flows naturally, then I can type more but AVERAGE days it’s about 1200-1300 in 2 hours.

1000 words an hour is very very good. I do that pretty consistently, my fastest was 2200-2500 an hour. I hit the zone and wrote half my 40k word novella in a day.

Honestly that's not a bad pace. It really depends on my level of focus. I've written 5,000 in an hour and I've written like 50. 😂 If you figure 1,000words/day that means you could do 4 books/year.
