Part 43. Recipe ⬇️. Hong Kong Oreo Pancake. Replying to @ru. Ingredients Crêpe 1/3 cup flour 3 eggs 3/4 cup milk 1 tbsp cornstarch 3 tbsp powder sugar 1 tbsp chocolate powder 1 tbsp melted butter 1 tsp vanilla extract Pinch of salt Sponge cake *** you can skip this step and purchase ready made cake***** 3 eggs 90 grams of cake flour ( sub with 1 cup flour and 2 tbsp cornstarch) 30 grams oil 60 grams sugar 1 tsp vanilla Filling 1.5 cup heavy cream 1/4 cup powder sugar 1 tsp vanilla 5 crushed Oreos Direction Sponge cake 1. Preheat oven to 330 F. 2. Sift your dry ingredients together. Set aside. 3. Whip the eggs together until you start seeing the mixture turn into a pale yellow color and it can hold a soft peak. It will triple in volume. 4. Slowly and gently fold in the dry ingredients 1/3 at a time to not collapse the eggs. 5. After mixing scoop 1/4 cup of it into a bowl with oil. Mix that up and return to the cake batter. Fold gently once again. 6. Pour into a lined 6 inch pan and bake for 30 minutes. 7. Remove from pan and let it cool. 8. Slice into rectangles. Crêpe 1. Sift all the dry ingredients together then slowly whisk in milk and vanilla. It should be blended and turn chocolatey. 2. Pass the mixture through a sieve and let it rest in the fridge for 30-40 mins. It will help strengthen the dough to prevent cracks. 3. Remove from the fridge and let the mix come to room temp before cooking. 4. On medium low heat scoop 1/2 cup of the mix into a ***nonstick pan***. Cook on one side and set aside. Filling 1. Pulse the Oreos in a food processor or use a rolling pin to roll it a few times. 2. Pour the heavy cream and vanilla into a bowl and gradually add the powder sugar. It will help the sugar from flying around. 3. It should come to a stiff peak. 4. Fold in the Oreos gently. Assembling 1. Lay out your crêpe and spread the whipped cream. Then slice of cake. Fold the sides of the crêpe inward and then top and bottom. Serve immediately and chill the rest in an airtight container. #baking #Recipe #EasyRecipe #asianfood #snack #cake
