@thatmountainlife: We home school for many reasons. One of them is to spend more time outside, being active and enjoying the mountains. We also get to spend more time together as a family. We subscribe largely to an “unschooling” approach to life and learning. It’s a complete paradigm shift when it comes to education and many don’t get it. For over a decade I worked as a ski patroller in order to afford a family ski pass. We would also buy used gear and chose the winter skiing lifestyle over travel vacations and other expenses. The skiing lifestyle is not for everyone. But it is my hope that more families are able to live intentional lives, spending more time doing the things they love. Get out there and do everything you can to make it happen.
