@tomdraperacting: 🎭 In acting, it's all about finding that balance between reality and imagination. The other day, I had an actress miming like she was holding a piece of paper, and I had to stop her—"Get her a real piece of paper!" It's already wild enough going from a mountaintop scene to being in a car, all in the same audition. Adding a bit of reality, like an actual prop, can make all the difference in how grounded you feel in the moment. But remember, it's all about balance. Too many props, and suddenly it feels like we're putting on a play in a barn 😂. Sometimes, the simplest miming—like using an inhaler in a comedic scene—works perfectly. The key is knowing what helps you connect to the scene. #ActingTips #ActorLife #AuditionHacks #KeepItReal #StageVsScreen #PropsOrNot #FindYourBalance #ActingClass #BehindTheScenes #CreativeProcess #ActingJourney #SceneWork #ActingCoach
