@faircomp: ⚠️How NOT to respond to getting a job offer ❌Immediately accepting ❌Not negotiating ❌Asking for a higher salary without backing it up with market data or reasons for a higher ask 💡How you should negotiate a job offer ✅Ask for 24 hrs to review ✅Submit a counteroffer via email or verbally at the 24hr mark ✅Give justifiable reasons (backed by market data) for why you’re asking for more 👉Bonus: if they meet your number tell them you can sign today. 👉73% of companies are willing to negotiate salary yet less than 50% of candidates negotiate so remember negotiating only makes you look like a stronger candidate. 👉If you want market data you can get it for free at faircomp! I always make sure to sound excited and thank them for the offer, but I’m making my counter offer right then and there. 😆

to get offer 2+ years of experience, yet interviews still focus on unrealistic scenarios. Why not use AI tools to assess real, practical skills?

Don’t ever agree on salary until you see it in writing!!! Companies always try to lock you into a range verbally so they don’t get a rejection on the initial offer, I leaned the hard way..

Most people are so desperate that they can't risk the offer being pulled. Which it could for any reason

good prep. when you approach with respect and justification, you don't close yourself off from the original offer

The counteroffer can result in the offer being pulled. It’s def better to ask if they can go higher.

Of if it’s a good offer and what you’re looking for just accept. Not everything has to be a negotiation
