Southwest MO we use silt sock instead of the fence. Fabric tube with wood mulch inside, no need to dig a trench just stake it down.

I would have thought allowing the grass to grow below the house site would be vastly more effective. unless you are excavating a gigantic volume of soil.

Very cool. love your channel. The silt fence is about preserving habitat and ecosystem. Putting trash in the landfill is a different issue. The silt fence material should be reusable nylon.
