Almost every time I tell someone I had cancer they say, “oh my (blank) had cancer but they died.” But what really blew my mind was when two people asked if I died.

I tell everyone to stop telling people with cancer that they knew someone who died. I heard that a lot and it’s scary enough without hearing that.

My son at 14 had a rare form of cancer. Ewings sarcoma. He was given 20% chance of survival. He lived through it!!! Prayers to you!

i told my mom that my professor's wife has cancer and that her treatment is going well, and my mom is like oh did you tell him your dad died of cancer and I'm like why would I tell him that 😭

When my dad was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer… people would say “oh my dad had that… he died x amount of months after his diagnosis” I would literally be like “whhhyyy tell me this!”😭☹️

I met one of my closest friends this way. She said something to the effect of “my hand is scarred because I had this rare cancer” but I got respond “oh bet, me too”
