I think they changed it recently!! Every time I go, they ask to see the membership card before I order. And at the kiosks you have to scan your card first

Costco actually loses money on some of their food court items, particularly the hot dog and soda. They’re only willing to take the loss for paying members so they can make it back

Can confirm. LA is having you scan your Costco membership before ordering on an iPad and picking up your food at the counter.

when I lived in Sacramento the Costco on exposition had a food court outside and we didn't have to scan our membership card. that was 2 years ago though

Although it's ridiculous just for a slice of peace but I did do a simple google search and it did say a yes is that require since 2020 and they've been cracking down since the April 2024

Mine put signs up when this became a rule recently, they also now scan your card as you walk in instead of you just flashing it at them?? Like ok I’ll Instacart it here

you could just not go there I'm sure you have a dominos buy you honestly would rather pay 10 bucks for a pizza then make a big deal over a store pushing there membership
