Same here...I call it speaking 4 languages...Proper la di da english and 'coloured' english as well as Regte egte Afrikaans and 'coloured' afrikaans and then that gets divided into afrikaaps too 😁

I have an Aunt who moved to NZ in 1997 and she was in CT few weeks back, you will never say she moved away, still has her SA accent, but can switch up at a moments notice

I can relate. I used to work I retail and yes it happens. My youngest will usually tell me to "praat reg" after she heard me talking to somebody else. 🤣🤣🤣

I code switch 😂 at work but I finished school in the 80's in the cape flats 😂. Don't know how it happens but especially in meetings with the colleagues from the other skin tones 😂
