@moontality5: In 1983, David Copperfield made the Statue of Liberty disappear right before everyone’s eyes. But how did he do it? First, he chose to perform the trick at night. Since he couldn’t physically move the statue, he came up with a brilliant idea. He would move the platform where the audience was seated. When the curtains opened, the statue would no longer be in their line of sight. To prevent the audience from noticing the platform’s movement, he filled the stage with loud music and vibrations. The platform had been shaking from the beginning of the show, so the audience didn’t notice the subtle movement. #davidcopperfield #magic #magictrick
