I watched the solar company rip out 40 one hundred plus year old oaks - my cathedral. Most traumatic experience of my adult life. I plant oaks every year for future generations.

Such a wonderful story & you are very wise to plant oaks. I would like to plant oaks on my acreage but unfortunately living in the climate of the Texas panhandle, they will not thrive here.

I absolutely love this! Thank you for sharing! Also a fellow Kansan!!! I’m in south central region and I try to plant as many trees as I can each year! My kids and I have fun collect acorns every year to try and germinate and plant on our property. Then we give and ones that are no good to plant to the pigs as a tasty treat! Really trying hard to plant as many native flowers and also have food sources as I can from Kansas forestry every year!! ❤️Also I could listen to you all day you are such a poetic story teller!!!
