We literally just had this with a jacked up 2.7 F150. Ford paid us retail, charged the other dealer.

16 f150. Exhaust manifold warped. Repairs under warranty, 20k later, same thing, same side. Was just out of warranty by 6k. Was told to pound sand. Thoughts on this?

the local chevy dealer sublets the big jobs to my local repair shop because they dont have enough certified techs to do those jobs .

Yep, had to go to 2 differnt dealers for my 8L90. second one fixed it with a new converter, flush and mobil1, supposedly the first dealer did the same thing, only lasted 5 days on the first repair.

Every Manufacturer has had this happen and if presented to the Manufacturer correctly, it will be taken care of.. Sadly it is up to the new servicing dealer..

I've seen this play out first hand on both blue oval and bowtie side of things as the tech that finds shoddy work done at another dealer.

Trouble is people are lazy, I’ve seen this so many times. Dealer jacks something, and no one is willing to go the extra step to help the customer

Back in the mid 2000s I ran across an issue with my vehicle took it to one dealer they fixed it, but did not fix it to another dealer hoping that would solve the problem. They wouldn’t touch it.

At our dealership, it’s easier to charge the used car department for the repair rather than piss off the customer.
