We are in Kuala Lumpur to try out 3 of the city's most famous street food, and here's our verdict: 📍𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐢 𝐋𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐤 Love the lemak-ness and fluffiness of the rice. The chilli is spicy and has a nice savouriness to it. Alot of people rave about the chicken drumstick. While it is thicc with perfect crispy exterior bits (which on its own taste super addictive), it felt slightly dry. Overall🥚: 8.5/10 🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳🟡 📍𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐔𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐤𝐤𝐢𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐞 They use a noodle that is almost like udon, thick enough to get a good mouthful of that very flavourful dark sauce. There was a slight "yellow noodle" taste which i wished wasnt there, and the pork lard tasted wet and lumpy instead of fresh and crispy. Still a very solid malaysian hokkien mee! Overall🥚: 7.5/10 🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳🟡 📍𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐢𝐧 This grows on you as you eat more of it. The inital impression is not great, the noodles were clumpy and difficult to mix. But the overall mix is tasty, with the fresh crispy ikan billis and pork lard giving umami, and the crispy chilli (really spicy!) elevating the taste.
